Etna O’Rourke

Peacefully on Wednesday 18th February 2026,

surrounded by her loving family and friends, in the tender care of the staff of Retreat Nursing Home.

Late of Upper Irishtown, Athlone, Co. Westmeath.

Predeceased by her parents Teresa and Tommy, her sisters Maureen and Gertie, her brother Enda and her sister-in-law Mary O’Rourke. Sadly missed by her loving nephews Feargal and Aengus, their wives Maeve and Lisa and Etna’s Grand Nephews and Nieces; Jennifer, Luke, Sarah, Sam, James and Scott. And, also by her wide circle of loyal and long term friends.

Reposing at Flynn’s Funeral Home, The Strand on Friday evening from 6pm until 8pm. Requiem Mass in St Mary’s Church on Saturday at 12 noon followed by burial afterwards in Cornamagh Cemetery.
