Passed away peacefully in the compassionate and gentle care of the staff of Heartlands Care Centre on Friday, the 16th of May, 2026.
Séamus will be deeply missed by his wife Bríd, sons Liam and PJ, daughter Marie-Thérèse, sister Mary (McCormack), brother Michael, sister-in-law Bernie (Cunniffe), his daughters-in-law Caroline (Lennon) and Sue Ann (Healey), son-in-law Stephen (Macken), grandchildren Renata, Emily, Juliette, Carsan, Alex and his wife (Jackie Harrigan), and Grant, great-granddaughter Kennedy, nieces, nephews, extended family, neighbours, and many, many friends whose lives were enriched by his presence.

Reposing at his Residence (6 Retreat Park, Athlone | N37 VY89) on Tuesday from 3pm until 8pm. Requiem Mass at 12 noon on Wednesday in St. Mary’s Church (N37 XP66) followed by burial afterwards in Coosan Cemetery.
Séamus’ family thank you for your thoughts, prayers, and messages of condolence. They will cherish the memories of Séamus’ life that so many have shared with them, they have brought the family much solace at this time.
