Barrymore, Athlone, Co. Roscommon, formerly of St.Patrick`s Street, Castlerea, Co. Roscommon
Passed away peacefully on Sunday, 20th July at home, surrounded by her loving family.
Beloved wife of Gerald, adored mother of David and Alyson, cherished mother-in-law of Sophie. Deeply missed by her sister Anna, brothers Paul & Patrick, sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, nieces, nephews, extended family, much loved neighbours, and her treasured circle of friends.
Predeceased by her dearly missed son James, and her parents Gerard and Eileen.
Mary was an extraordinary woman who inspired everyone lucky enough to know her. She faced life — and illness — with unmatched strength, courage, and positivity. Her presence lit up every room, and the way she lived her life left a lasting impact on so many. She truly was one of a kind.
The family wishes to extend heartfelt thanks to the dedicated teams at The Galway Clinic and the Mayo/Roscommon Hospice and to all who supported Mary throughout her journey.
May her beautiful & vibrant soul rest in peace.
In honour of her astounding life, we invite you to celebrate Mary at her home on Tuesday, July 22nd from 3pm-8pm.
Flowers are welcome — just as Mary wanted, surrounded by beauty to the very end.
Finally, as many of you know, Mary loved life—and she lived it in full colour. So, we won’t be mourning in black. We’ll be celebrating in style.
