Peacefully on 16th September 2026 at Portiuncula University Hospital, Ballinasloe.

Retreat Park, Athlone, Co. Westmeath & Carrigallen, Co. Leitrim.

Predeceased by his parents Mary and John and his brother Fr. Seán. Deeply regretted by his wife Patricia (Pat), son Brendan, daughter Mairéad (Murphy), Amy (Ball), Maeve (Greene) and Niamh (McTiernan), brothers Aidan, Desmond and Fr. James. sons-in-law Eric, David, Francis and Des, granddaughters Lauren, Síofra, Katie, Lia, Caoilinn, Maolíosa, Martha, grandson Jack, in-laws, nephews, nieces, relatives, many friends and former colleagues.

Reposing at Flynn’s Funeral Home, The Strand on Thursday from 6pm until 8pm. Requiem Mass in St. Mary’s Church, Athlone on Friday at 10:30am followed by burial afterwards in Coosan Cemetery.
